Do you want to be good or do you want to be spectacular?

The Aloha Massage Academy, located in the beautiful historic town of Kainaliu on the Big Island of Hawaii, has been successfully training and preparing students for licensure in the field of therapeutic massage and Traditional Lomilomi for over 18 years. Our program specializes in therapeutic massage combined with a diverse selection of alternative bodywork modalities. Our mission is to provide an experience of deep healing, and we strive to help our students become spectacular massage therapists.

Our program consists of a 570-hour program, which is divided into two levels: Level One (Entry Level) and Level Two (Advanced). Level One is 150 hours and includes 50 hours of anatomy, physiology, and structural kinesiology, as well as 100 hours of massage theory and demonstration. Level Two is 420 hours and requires Level One or the equivalent from another approved school. It includes 350 hours of classes in advanced techniques, workshops, and practical application in a supervised student clinic, as well as 70 hours of clinical operations, office procedures, record keeping, and sanitation. Upon completion of this program, students are qualified to sit for the Hawaii State Board Massage Licensing Exam.

We also offer various workshops and classes throughout the year, such as CPR, Thai Yoga Massage & Trauma-Informed Care, The Fascia Connection, Lomilomi Level 1, and The Art of The 90 Minute Massage. These workshops and classes provide students with comprehensive foundational techniques and help them deepen their practice and engage in conversations of personal and collective healing.

Our instructors are highly experienced and certified in various modalities. They are dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful massage therapists. Our lead instructor, Angela Leslee, LMT, has been teaching for over 30 years and has a deep understanding of the therapeutic benefits of massage.

We have a student clinic on site where students can practice the therapeutic massage techniques they learn in class. This clinic also provides an opportunity for the community to receive affordable massages while supporting the education of our students. Our massage rates are $45 per hour and $65 per hour and a half.

At the Aloha Massage Academy, we believe in the power of massage to promote healing and well-being. We are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our students to learn and grow, and we look forward to continuing our mission of providing deep healing experiences for many years to come.
