Relax, Rejuvenate, and Reclaim Your Body's Balance

At Windhorse Acupuncture, we are dedicated to supporting your physical and mental health using the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Our practice is located in Downtown Whitehorse, on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta'an Kwach'an Council. We believe that health is a dynamic interplay between physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, and that every part of the body is connected through a web of meridians.

Our approach to acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific points along these meridians to affect the flow of your body's rhythms and substances. We also incorporate other modalities such as cupping, Chinese massage, and pulse and tongue diagnosis to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Whether you are seeking to regulate stress, alleviate pain, recover from injuries, or manage chronic conditions, our goal is to support you in establishing patterns that improve your sense of wellbeing.

What to Expect in a Session

A standard acupuncture session with us begins with a conversation where you are invited to share your reason for coming in and what has happened for you since we last met. This is followed by a pulse and tongue diagnosis, which are key ways we observe patterns to create a diagnosis. We may also perform palpation to gain a deeper understanding of your structure. Throughout the session, you always have choice about where the needles are inserted and for how long. Our approach is gentle and conversational, and we aim to create a welcoming space for everyone who walks through our door.

Inclusivity

We celebrate the diversity of human experience and strive to be inclusive of all genders, colours, and orientations. Our lens as a white, queer, non-binary person from a middle class background who was/is socialized allows us to approach each session with empathy and understanding.
