Our Program

At Columbia River Institute of Massage Therapy, we offer a 750-hour program over 10 months. Our program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in massage therapy. The curriculum is divided into Bodywork Days and Bookwork Days. Bodywork days include giving and receiving massages from classmates, learning new techniques, and practicing clinical skills. Bookwork days cover the scientific aspects of massage therapy, including anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and more.

Program Outline

Our program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in massage therapy. The program is divided into two parts: the academic portion and the clinical portion. The academic portion includes classroom instruction and homework assignments, while the clinical portion includes supervised massage therapy sessions with clients.

Tuition and Enrollment

Our tuition includes all necessary books, supplies, and student liability insurance. However, students are responsible for their own testing fees for the licensure exam, licensure fees, First Aid/CPR, and a massage table. We also offer a payment plan to help students finance their education.

Admissions

We welcome students of all ages and backgrounds to our program. Our admissions process includes an application, transcripts, and placement tests. Once accepted, students will receive a schedule with all the days they are required to be in class. Students can also work during school, taking some time management skills to coordinate with their employer ahead of time.
