Our History

Our salon was founded in 1979 at 313 Central Avenue, where customers had to climb 29 steps up to the salon, hence, the name Penthouse. In 1996, we moved to our current location, just a few blocks from the heart of downtown. Our salon is a well-designed space that provides a sense of privacy while still offering an open concept to enjoy the entire salon experience. Each designer's work area has a unique look, with mirrors, product selection, and display all playing a part in creating an interesting environment. In our spa area, we have private rooms for body waxing, facials, and areas for manicures and pedicures. The entire spa space, painted by artist JoAnn Flesch, is an oasis for your soul.

Our team of experienced stylists are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques, attending industry events and bringing in speakers to present on topics such as hair color and advanced cutting techniques. We also offer a variety of spa services, including body waxing, facials, manicures, and pedicures. Our spa area is a peaceful oasis, designed to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
