Our Story

Advanced Myotherapy has been a trusted source of relief from acute and chronic pain, stress, and fatigue of the spirit for over 30 years. Our story begins with our founders, Joseph Micketti and Janie Chandler, who met in massage school in Boulder, Colorado in 1986. They were both licensed massage therapists since 1987 and have been providing exceptional care to their clients ever since. Their expertise in neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, and energy medicine has helped countless individuals find relief from a wide range of issues, from chronic pain and injuries to stress and anxiety.

• Neuromuscular Therapy: a specific approach to the problem of pain based on sound physiological principles and neurological laws. It reverses the stress-tension-pain cycle.
• Energy Medicine: a holistic approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. Our energy medicine sessions use various techniques to balance the body's energy fields and promote healing.
• Biomat: a therapeutic pad that converts electricity into Far Infrared Rays (FIR), a natural and non-invasive way to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
• Radiant Circuit Illumination: a gentle and non-invasive technique that uses light to stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

Our Therapists

Joseph Micketti, LMT, NMT, has been fascinated by the human body since his high school years. He initially approached the medical field as an X-ray tech and later became a licensed massage therapist. He has extensive training in neuromuscular therapy, St. John method, muscle energy technique, and myofascial release.

Janie Chandler, LMT, EEM-CP, has a unique blend of skills, combining deep tissue therapy and energy work. She has extensive training in energy medicine, including Donna Eden's Approach to Energy Medicine and is an Advanced Certified Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner. Janie's approach integrates linear, therapeutic massage with intuitive, expansive energy work to access healing on multiple levels.
