Our Story

The idea for Acadia School of Massage was born from the founders' experience running the highly successful Tree of Life Day Spa in Bar Harbor, Maine. Recognizing the need for a quality massage therapy school in the region, they created a holistic program focused on hands-on massage classes to prepare students to start their careers right away. As a member school of the American Massage Therapy Association and an approved massage therapy program by the State of Maine Licensing Board, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of education and ethics.

Our Program

Our Massage Therapist Core Training program is a systematic approach to training massage professionals. By focusing on three key areas - the science of functional anatomy and pathology, the art of delivering exceptional bodywork, and professional and ethical excellence - our students gain a competitive advantage in the industry. Our program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a variety of settings, from spas to medical clinics to private practice.

Meet Our Team

Our team of experienced instructors, led by Founder and Instructor Kiana Baranowski, LMT, and Director and Instructor Philip Payne, LMT, are dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education and the skills necessary to succeed in the field of massage therapy.

Our Campus

Located at 108 Cottage Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609, our campus provides a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to simulate real-world settings. Our campus is conveniently located near the Tree of Life Day Spa, where students gain hands-on experience in our supervised student clinic.
